Rupashree Bhattacharya:  Born into a family of musicians, Rupashree Bhattacharya was initially tutored in vocal music by her father, Shri Durga Charan Bhattacharya. She later learnt from Shri Ashit Bandopadhyay, Shrimati Shipra Bose and Shri Sanjoy Chakrabarty. In 1996 she became a scholar of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy under the tutelage of Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. As an ITC-SRA scholar, she also received dhrupad and dhamar training from Pandit Falguni Mitra.  Maturing into a sensitive and unobtrusive accompanist, she is a “B-High” graded harmonium artiste of All India Radio and has been a faculty member of ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata since 2002. Amongst her other achievements, she is a graded performer of ‘Shyama Sangeet’ and ‘Bhajan’. She has accompanied renowned vocal artistes Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Pandit Amiya  Ranjan Bandopadhyay, Vidushi Girija Devi, Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, Pandit Arun Bhaduri, Vidushi Shruti Sadolikar Katkar, Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Vidushi Padma Talwalkar, Vidushi Purnima Sen, Vidushi Subhra Guha, Pandit Rajan Mishra and Pandit Sajan Mishra, Pandit Venkatesh Kumar, Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan, and many others at ITC Sangeet Sammelan at Kolkata, Delhi, Lucknow, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kanpur, etc., Dover Lane Music Conference, National Programme (Doordarshan), Gunidas Sangeet Sammelan, Dakshini Sangeet Sammelan, Salt Lake Music Festival, Sabrang Music Festival in Kolkata; concerts at Delhi, Chennai, Trivandrum, Jaipur; Tansen Sangeet Sammelan (Gwalior), Radio Sangeet Sammelan and many other places.  Solo Harmonium at Bhowanipur Sangeet Sammelani has been her debut performance in the year 2006. Presently her resolve to appear as a soloist reassures that the Music Conferences will again be reverberated with the Solo Harmonium item which is staged few and far between after passing away of some old maestros. She has performed solo programme at Bangla Ekhon Channel, Tara Jalsaghar, Salt Lake Cultural Association, Biswa Banga Sammelan,College Square, Saptasur (concerts organized by Vidushi Dipali Nag), Behala and Radhikar Mohan Moitra Music Circle at Madhusudan Manch, ITC SRA Weekly recital, Dakshini Sangeet Sammelan, etc. A solo album of his, “Lilting Reeds” was released in Kolkata in 2013 by reputed labels such as Bihaan Music.
